Spring Cooking Class : Pass The Veggies Please!

Not too late to sign up for this Spring Cooking Class :

This vegetable cooking class grew out of years of figuring out how to get more veggies on my plate after the recommended daily amount of veggies increased to 8 servings a day! I was determined to prepare a greater variety, using all healthy ingredients and with flavor.

In a comfortable home setting, this class is designed to equip guests with practical skills, nutritional and product information that encourage the transition away from processed foods and moving towards whole food meals using more fresh vegetables.

Pass The Veggies Please Saturday, May 19 11am – 1pm $ 30.00

Just in time for those fresh and local veggies, a technique cooking class that brings the best out of seasonal garden produce soon to come! You will learn cooking techniques that enhance the natural flavors while retaining nutrients in an assortment of vegetables. I will demonstrate braising, stir fry, roasting, and sprouting. We will also make a delicious assorted vegetable countertop pickle that is simple and aids in digestion. Whether you’re interested in eating a healthier diet, wanting more veggies on your plate, or just looking for some new fresh recipes, you will enjoy this class. Assorted greens, bok choy and purple cabbage stir fry, braised kohlrabi with fennel and crispy, melt – in – your – mouth kale chips are a few of the star players. You will leave with new skills and recipes that will have your family asking, ”pass the veggies please”!

gluten and dairy free

All classes take place in our north side Spokane home. Recipes, beverages and “lunch” included. Space is limited and prepayment is required. Please e-mail me @ cookwithamyg@gmail.com for more info.

Looking forward to stirring up some fun in the kitchen!
